Children are given time to explore, play and learn at their own pace. We do not rush childhood or we miss all of the enriching learning and enjoyment of all opportunities…

Children are free to go outside, inside, into any room whenever they wish to explore, see a sibling, friend or favourite teacher, or to simply find other beautiful spaces to explore and play in… our conscientious teachers manages the playscape as a team to supervise all children at all times… all children are everyones responsibility.
Children learn best when they feel safe, known and supported. We build strong connections between children, educators and families.
Our Bush Kindy philosophy weaves through every program, giving children time, space, and freedom to explore outdoors daily. They build cubbies, climb, garden, and observe seasonal changes — building resilience, independence, and a deep respect for the natural world.
“At Little Bush Village, it is our commitment to provide a home-like, nature-based, curiosity-driven play and learning environment. In a relaxed and inspired state, children will learn and develop to their potential.”
Founder and CEO
At Little Bush Village, we provide children with the opportunity to enjoy nature-rich environments and engage in purposeful, child-centred play that is both safe and supervised. Our haven is a place where children can experiment through trial and error in expansive natural settings—vital for supporting their physical and mental well-being, growth and development.
Whether climbing, building, balancing, creating, experimenting, or negotiating play spaces with others, children are encouraged to develop cognitive skills, problem-solving abilities, and resilience. With expansive play spaces and dedicated, inspired educators, our program fosters environmental stewardship, confidence, and a love for lifelong learning.
Children at Little Bush Village are motivated to cooperate and grow as social-emotional individuals because we offer abundant creative and exploratory play spaces, complemented by hands-on, age-appropriate learning resources. With the guidance of nurturing, experienced, and intuitive educators, children learn to work together harmoniously in both play and learning, developing strong social connections and emotional wellbeing.
Throughout the day, our flexible approach to meals, rest, and group time transitions ensures children have every opportunity to explore indoors and outdoors. While routines are semi-structured, our educators are guided primarily by the children, with weather and the natural flow of play shaping each day.
Research shows that purposeful, thoughtfully designed, age-appropriate indoor and outdoor learning environments—combined with the guidance of educators—create relaxed yet supported opportunities for children to build friendships and work together. Within this environment, valuable social skills such as sharing, turn-taking, negotiation, and cooperation naturally flourish.
At Little Bush Village, children immerse themselves in supported group play, where they develop empathy, self-awareness, and emotional resilience. This fosters a deep sense of belonging that enhances their overall well-being. By encouraging children to understand their environment and themselves, and by supporting their choices and interests, we help them feel truly at home and at ease.
We believe that when children feel calm, safe and valued, they are free to learn and grow to their fullest potential— this is the commitment we proudly uphold at Little Bush Village.
Through play, nature and trusted relationships, children are encouraged to take safe risks, build confidence and develop a love of learning.
